Alliance Française

New Dehli - India

In summer it is incredibly hot in New Delhi while the winters are relatively mild. To optimize passive cooling, the project takes shape in and around the magnificent existing trees on the site. Water flows through evaporation on the fabric façades, cooling the concrete. Ramps guide vehicles onto suspended parking lots that are crossed by branches and trunks of trees. The functions of the building are placed freely on these raised slabs.

PROGRAM Reconstruction of the alliance francaise including administration spaces, classe, multimedia spaces, exhibition spaces, cultural activities, reception and café.
